Shishir KumarBihar is now heading towards15th state general elections. Nitish Kumar has left no stone unaltered to repeat what he did last time. The result of Bihar seems quite predictable coming winter !
But - is it as predictable?
Well if we go into what happened in Jharkhand we may take a pause and step back. With the Congress playing all the pranks to govern the mineral rich state it was quite clear that the BJP allies would come up with crackers, colours and drums. But the results showed just the opposite.Words in air suggested a lot.
Some say the reason was the malfunctioning EMV, some say it was the JMM - Maoist pact, for others it were the wrong candidates of BJP.
Now what? As operation green hunt is all on fire and both the state are heading towards severe power-stability crisis, what going to happen would truly be cream time for the political pundits. Taking of the new state Gurujee had made his intentions all clear on Operation Green hunt, however, the mounting pressure from Chitambram made him give up. With Shibu still to claim a berth in the state legislative assembly and troubles like internal family feud, Shashikant Jha murder case and last but not the list the anti-Naxal movement - what would be the face of this government in coming time is something Madhu Koda would love to see .
Meanwhile, Nitish with all his good works is also not heading towards a cakewalk. What i mean here is that a person who has been alleged of favouring BC's may not get the same blessing of the forwards on that Yadav's and Paswan, who for his bad luck constitutes a large chunk of Bihar, are happily against him for Lalu and Ram Vilas. To add to his vex our political gossipers claim that Amar Bhaiyaji is all set to launch a new party leaving the old Samajwadi Party, thats not it - seven of Nistish's MLA are sharing there dinner with Bhaiyaji and he is all set to launch his party at a grand political rally in Gandhi Maidan, yes in Patna.
So the tales of the two city - I mean the two state are not that simple as it looks.
Now coming on the real pain in the vein - Operation Green Hunt. The two state have many liberated zones, and yes before i forget an area commander of People's Liberation Army of India confessed in front of media that just one politician helps him - Shibu Soren. Well putting together these two sentences don't make a sense untill i tell you the statistics of the last state elections.
With less than 48 % voting, 36 candidates in a constituency and 14 political parities the results came out. Unlike last elections, the naxal dominated areas had more voting than the urban hubs. This time the naxalites did not much disturb the administration and let the elections pass peacefully. Well if you cant guess which party won maximum seats in these areas you don't worth reading this article. So this was the last election - all heavy weights of Congress lost, BJP lost its patent seats and the regional parties - WOW!
Nitish Kumar has undoubtedly worked well in some sectors and some of his favorite areas of Bihar. But he did not have got this chance if our dear Ram Vilas had not over thought than his capacity. Someone, told me politics is something you need to understand not play. Had he told the same to LJP chief Nitish may have won the 15th General Elections for sure. On that the naxal movement means that most of the people he favoured may be killed as the caste ratio of Naxalites is Bihar is not a point to be guessed. The other day I was just having a talk with a member of People's Union for Civil Rights, yes the same organization branded terrorist in Chattisgarh, he said that the forces are killing many innocent people in the name of Operation Green hunt. When I put up the question of the killing of 76 jawans in Dantewada he smiled and asked "Do you know who gives such plans?" I did not had the guts to gulp the answer so i did not ask for the answer even. The official residence an ex-minister of Jharkhand, an independent, were adored by vehicles with number plates of Chattisgarh and Andra Pradesh as the clock stuck 10 in dark.Noticed something? its almost two pages and we are talking about parties that lead two states and they are not entitled to be called regional even. The two major political players Congress and BJP are now the side actors in the two states. Its true that Congress has lost all the ground in the the state, however, it has shown symptoms of recovery.BJP on the other hand has a very good hold among the masses. Thanks to RSS and its 100+ organizations. Nitish too is all rolling on Jharkhand BJP route. The present deupty CM Raghuwar Das with his BC & General divide and rule policy ate the party in the last elections. Das is know for the break away of the forward party supporters. However, the BJP is all planning to rewrite things. With the visit RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and plans to crop a forward state president the party expects elixir in the next elections. In Bihar the party is still to find legs that walk without the JDU support.Congress undoubtedly is still as power hungry as a history-sheeter. To remain in power it sang Lalu Chalisha, gave Koda a chance to earn so much that his generations from the time they were apes would not have earned together. And then it was Guruji's powerplay. And the last coffin Syed Sibte Razi, the honarable ex-Governor of Jharkhand. Though Rahuls razzmatazz did play a bit and a bit played Rahul's fooling around of Youth Congress membership and election trick, but will the same trick work in Bihar?Congress would once again play to make Guruji loose in the by-elections, BJP would plan to crop its own CM - that's Jharkhand. And Bihar - Boss its unpredictable believe me!
